Private Infants Nursery Teacher
I am Ms. Roseanna, a teacher at the private infants nursery! When I'm not working I'm holding down the fort in Oak Grove with my partner Andrew and our 3 kids- Caleb (10), Elena (3) and James (1). I moved to the Portland area in 2008 to help take care of a sickly family member (she's great, by the way) and decided to stay and raise my family here.
I have worked with children for many years, then found a passion for teaching Dog Training classes where I spent about 10 years. In the last 2 years I have grown my knowledge and understanding in Early Childhood development and education and found myself wanting to teach the human children again :-)
My daughter Elena was one of the first 'little bears' when April opened in April of 2017. After meeting her and seeing her love for children, it relight my fire and I knew LBPC was the place for me and my family. Then after my daughter had been in care for more than a year I applied for an infant teacher position and April brought me into their Little Bear Team.
I enjoy being a part of the Little Bear family more than I can express with words. I hope you all feel the love and know that the LBPC team is a strong bond of loving and caring individuals with a heart for children.
Thank you for allowing me to be such a special person in your child's life, alongside of you. It takes a village."

It has also been really fun to learn the USDA food program that we utilize here at Little Bear. We use the Creative Curriculum and the LEGO curriculum with our students and I love that we utilize so many different philosophies (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, STEAM, Play, etc) to help us develop the entire child in the best way that the student learns.
I grew up in Oregon City and Molalla and am currently living in Oregon City. I live with my boyfriend and his family. We love taking trips to the mountain and the beach. I have been riding horses since I was 5, I’ve also been fishing my whole life. I love being outdoors!"

Private Infants Nursery Teacher
Ms. Sara is our Cubs teacher and LOVES working with babies in our private infant nursery. Sara has two girls at home and two cute pups that light up her world. She has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of children from the ages of newborn to 18 years old. For eight years she was blessed to be a youth leader in NE Portland at the Salvation Army and for two years, worked in New York City with underprivileged and foster home children.
Sara is extremely nurturing with children and has a deep understanding that all children are unique and require different things to feel safe, loved and listened to. For nine years Sara enjoyed taking her students to summer camp, a beautiful oasis where the kids got to be kids. Sara showed her students what it looked like to be a kid, to only worry about themselves, not to feel anxious about the things that were happening at home, techniques to breath and be happy, and how to let things go. She showered her students with love and affection and showed them that they were loved no matter what else was occurring in their lives - and most importantly, how to find their inner voice and confidence, to laugh, and be silly, to have fun and enjoy life.
Before Sara began her career at Little Bear she spent time working for the North Thurston School District at Head Start as a teacher and administrative staff throughout the school and district. Working with children is a passion of Sara’s and she is very happy to be apart of the family at Little Bear PlayCare and Preschool.
